US Ambassador Marc Knapper visted Bien Hoa Cemetery
On October 13th 2023, US Ambassador Marc Knapper visited the Bien Hoa Military Cemetery. Accompanying him on this trip was Ms. Susan Burns, the US Consul General in Vietnam. Also present was Mr. Vo Thanh Nhan, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, and Mr. Kevin Dang, Deputy Director General of the Vietnamese American Foundation (VAF) in the United States. The purpose of this visit was to give VAF the opportunity to present the current status of the cemetery and requested the Ambassador to discuss with the Binh Duong provincial government to allow VAF to renovate the following.
- The Mourning Band is damaged in some places on the bottom of the Mourning Band.
- Cutting trees in the rows of mounds and on the graves.
- Repairing the Drainage System in the cemetery.
